The Wine Gang brings together four of the UK’s renowned wine experts who are on quest to make wine accessible to all. The consumer event was held at Aspire in Leeds on Saturday 19 November 2017. Wonderful Spanish hams and cheese were provided by Ham and Friends Leeds.
OVER 200 people turned up to taste wines from English wine producer, Nyetimber, Harvey Nichols, Rias Baixas (Spain), Eat, Drink Spain, The Wine Society, Majestic Wine, Henry Fessy & Viu Manent, Gourvid, Santa Rita Estates, Waitrose Cellar, C.V.N.E & Errazuriz,, Alivini, Schott Zwiesel, Comuna de Argentina and Colinas de Uruguay, and wine education via the Yorkshire Wine School.

Jane Parkinson
Jane is an award-winning wine writer and communicator. She’s a wine expert on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen as well as the wine columnist for several magazines including Restaurant, Stylist, Absolutely and Market Life.
Anthony Rose
Anthony is a regular contributor to a number of international wine magazines. He chairs major wine competition panels and co-chairs the International Sake Challenge in Tokyo. In a previous life he was a solicitor but decided it was time to get a steady job.
David Williams
David is the wine correspondent of The Observer, the deputy editor of The World of Fine Wine, and a columnist at The Wine Merchant, as well as being a regular contributor to titles including The Guardian, Restaurant Magazine, Imbibe and New Zealand’s Wine magazine.
Joanna Simon
Jo is House & Garden’s online wine expert, the training for which included 22 years as wine correspondent of The Sunday Times, presenting a BBC Radio 4 series, being editor of two wine magazines and winning various writing awards.
