AMERICA’S first bottled bourbon – Old Forester Bourbon – has teamed up with Voyage of Buck, Edinburgh, Scotland this November to create a new seasonal cocktail to celebrate the American national holiday of Thanksgiving.
THE cocktail was designed by Mike McGinty, head bartender at The Voyage of Buck, an art-deco speakeasy style cocktail bar and restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End.

The rich but smooth taste of Old Forester is perfectly complimented with honey and sage strained over ice, resulting in a long, warm finish.
Introduced by George Garvin Brown in 1870, Old Forester is the only bourbon continuously distilled by the same company before, during and after Prohibition.
In 1920, at the start of Prohibition, many distilleries closed but Old Forester held one of only six federal licenses to continue producing whisky for medicinal purposes.[wpurp-searchable-recipe]Recipe: Celebrate Thanksgiving with a Ginger and Sage Highball Cocktail – – Old Forester bourbon, Honey and Sage Syrup, Dehydrated lemon wheel, sage, Fevertree Ginger Ale, Shake Old Forester, honey and sage syrup together and double strain over cubed ice
