The chance to taste Aussie Reds with serious bottle age at The Angel Pub, (29 January 2026).

This is a rare opportunity. Some of the wines are 30 years old!

THE pub’s Angel Wine Group is a monthly tasting series. This is its third event guided by Master of Wine Jo Ahearne.

This invitation-only club is dedicated to the joy of hanging out, talking wine, and drinking fantastic, top-tier vintages in a social and relaxed environment.

The tasting will highlight classic styles and respected producers from four of Australia’s most celebrated regions: The Barossa Valley, Yarra Valley, McLaren Vale and the Hunter Valley.

These wines are known for their power and longevity, offering a chance to see how Australia’s so-called ‘big reds’ develop depth, complexity, and nuance over time.

Guests will taste six carefully selected wines, alongside a mystery bottle, in an intimate setting limited to just 12 places.

Jo Ahearne MW will be on hand to lead the discussion and answer questions, with bubbles on arrival and nibbles prepared by The Angel’s in-house chef.
